Some like Date Context and Date Migration\u00a0cannot\u00a0be activated because they are missing additional modules but you can ignore these for now. Continue past them and activate all you can down to the Date Tools and Date Views.<\/p>\n<h3>Day of Week and Time Zone<\/h3>\n<p>Next you will need to set up the site&#8217;s first day of the week, system date formats and time zone.\u00a0The Date API requires that you set up the site first day of week settings to function correctly. \u00a0To do this, from the top bar of admin menu:<\/p>\n<p>Configuration \u00bb Regional and language<\/p>\n<p>Click on <span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Regional settings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_Configuration_RegionalAndLanguage1a1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-406\" src=\"http:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_Configuration_RegionalAndLanguage1a1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_Configuration_RegionalAndLanguage1a1.jpg 580w, https:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_Configuration_RegionalAndLanguage1a1-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Set Time Zone<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Set your Default time zone using the drop down and then click on Save configuration.<\/p>\n<p>Next got to Configuration \u00bb Regional and language<\/p>\n<p>Click on <span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Date and time<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And set up the system date formats for the date module to function correctly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_COnfiguration_RegionalAndLanguage_DateType12.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-413\" src=\"http:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_COnfiguration_RegionalAndLanguage_DateType12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_COnfiguration_RegionalAndLanguage_DateType12.jpg 580w, https:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_COnfiguration_RegionalAndLanguage_DateType12-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Set Date Display Format &#8211; Default 24 hour<\/p>\n<p>Note the default is 24 hour format &#8211; If you are working in the morning this may not be obvious.<\/p>\n<p>You will want to set this to a non 24 clock as most visitors will be used to the normal 12 hour clock.<\/p>\n<p>Also watch to set the date according to your region &#8211; on the right of the form you will notice tabs for Types (where we are now) and Formats (where you can define your own).\u00a0 We will skip custom.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_Configuration_RegionalAndLanguage_DateTypeFormat21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-415\" src=\"http:\/\/inkprov.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Admin_Configuration_RegionalAndLanguage_DateTypeFormat21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"256\" height=\"81\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Date Formats<\/p>\n<h2>More Modules<\/h2>\n<p>Install Signup module for options for managing and contacting event participants. \u00a0 It does not seem to be complete for Drupal 7.x so if the only version available is dev I would skip it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/signup\">http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/signup<\/a>\u00a0(Hold off on this one until non Dev. version ready).<\/p>\n<p>Install Flags for tagging events and other notes.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/flag\">http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/flag<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Install Profile2 module to add registration questions to new user forms &#8211; if you don&#8217;t intend to do this later you can skip this module. \u00a0Activate under &#8220;Other&#8221; in module list.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/profile2\">http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/profile2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Noggin for better page headers.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/noggin\">http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/noggin<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Menu Icons<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/menu_icons\">http:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/menu_icons<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;
